In 2019, Onofre Rogel sat in the audience at the Leadership Awards Gala and listened as one team member after another was called to the stage. They were being recognized as Rising Stars within Kynect, highlighting the hard work and achievement they’d experienced in a relatively short amount of time.
Onofre was beyond proud, but he couldn’t help wondering, “Why am I not on that stage?”
Then, his name was called as The Rising Star—an honor given to one Associate each year who demonstrates they have what it takes to become a Top Leader. Today, that promise is realized as we honor Onofre as our newest Executive Director!
The Right Company, the Right Time
When Onofre received his award, he was just a little over a year into his Kynect journey. Although he’d seen a presentation back in 2015, he didn’t take the plunge until 2018. That was the year Stream energy services came to Illinois, and Onofre saw the massive opportunity in front of him.
Truth be told, he had little to lose by taking this chance. “I was in debt. I had no car. I’m always going to remember the day I joined because somehow I had a feeling this company could change my life.”
Onofre had been involved in network marketing since he was 18, but something about Kynect called to him. He dove in with enthusiasm, showing the plan every chance he could. Seeing and helping others reach their goals energized him even more. He was a student of the business, always attending events and learning from Top Leaders. And, most importantly, he refused to give up.
“Everything Is Possible”
Fast forward to 2019, and it’s clear his efforts were worthwhile. Onofre watched so many of his team members walk across the stage at the gala because of his leadership and integrity. Their success is a testament to his ability.
“I truly believe we all have a purpose in life,” Onofre says. “My passion is helping others, bringing hope to their lives. Helping them to reach their goals and dreams.”
Onofre says he’s excited to see what the future holds. His next goal is National Director, but he’s also eager to see who’ll be the next Executive Director from his team. Above all, he’s excited to set an example for his daughter.
“I have an 8-year-old daughter named Dianely. Reaching my goal to ED, I showed her that everything is possible. She can do or have anything she wants.”
