Switching a Customer from Verizon? Read This

June 05, 2020

The last thing you want when signing up a new Wireless Services customer is a bump in the road that delays their enrollment. So, here’s a big FYI as you share $35/line far and wide: Verizon’s porting process has changed. Next time you have a Verizon customer ready to make the switch and bring their existing phone number along, they need a 6-digit Number Transfer PIN. There are 3 ways to get it:

Online in their Verizon account: Go to My Profile > Number Transfer PIN and follow instructions

In the Verizon app: Go to Account Settings > Security > Number Transfer PIN and follow instructions

Through Verizon Customer Care: Customer tells the agent they want to port their number and requests a Number Transfer PIN

Once the customer has their PIN, they’ll use it as their password to port their number. Voila! No headaches or delays, just smooth sailing to a completed enrollment.
