UPDATED: All In-Person Energy Sales Suspended

3/23 Update:


Last week, Pennsylvania and Ohio were the first states to issue a temporary suspension of in-person energy and/or wireless sales in an effort to minimize social contact. As expected, 2 other states followed their lead and we expect more states to do the same soon.


Ahead of that, Stream is proactively asking all Associates—no matter where you live—to only build your energy business online or over the phone. Everyone must take a break from in-person sales to protect your safety and the safety of others, especially as states continue to issue stricter social distancing or shelter in place orders.


Focus on What You Can Do


Your business is safe because there are endless ways to grow it without meeting face-to-face. Some reminders:


·      Phone calls, social media, FaceTime, WhatsApp etc. are great ways to reach out to your warm market without meeting in person. Social distancing can be tough, but communication is not impossible.  

·      Kynect Pro subscribers, remember to use the Kynect Share app to share the BP and your Homesite, and the My Stream Connect app to enroll energy customers. You also have access to a trove of digital marketing tools in Kynect Central.

·      Master the art of Zoom (or any other free platform) webinars. We provided an in-depth training on this during Kynection on Demand last Saturday.

What a week, huh? New guidelines for slowing the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) are flowing in almost daily, often around minimizing personal contact. Recently, orders from the Public Utility Commission (PUC) in some states were issued that need swift action from all of us: In-person sales are temporarily suspended. Given how quickly things are evolving, we expect to see similar orders issued in more markets any time now.
