If you’re helping power Texas businesses, this news is for you! We’re changing up how Customer Point values are determined for these accounts.
When you enrolled a Stream for Business (previously Commercial) account in Texas before this update, we would use the 12 months of Historical Usage Data (HUD) for the premise that Stream provides to help us determine which tier it belonged in and the point value of the customer. Once determined, that point value wouldn’t change for the duration of their contract unless manually reevaluated, regardless of how much energy your customer ended up using. Sometimes actual usage was higher than what the HUD reflected, sometimes it was lower.
Now, Stream for Business Customer Point values for a given account may change month-to-month, based on a rolling 12 months of HUD for that premise. This means the point value of your customers will more truly reflect their activity and consumption.
How This Affects You
With this change, it’s more important than ever that you stay on top of the metrics driving your business. Stream for Business Customer Points could fluctuate monthly or every couple of months, depending on your customer’s usage.
