Lots of news from our energy partner! CEO Bouncer Schiro has a quick recap of the residential changes we shared at Super Saturday, and we’ve even got some new updates to add. But first, Director of Field Training Greg Savage is going to bring you up to speed on what’s happening with Commercial. (Hint: A lot!)

Make sure you read all the way to the end for important details regarding upcoming outages as these changes are implemented.

Texas Only Commercial Energy Changes


(Spanish subtitles are available)


  • Commercial is now called Stream for Business (all markets)
  • There are 2 categories: Small Business and Medium Business
  • Different experiences for each category
  • Contract terms up to 5 years for Medium Businesses

Texas Only Residential Energy Changes


(Spanish subtitles are available)


  • New Texas-only phone number and simplified phone menu
  • Refreshed energy bill with new account numbers
  • Improved and more frequent enrollment and account communications
  • No convenience fees for one-time ACH or credit card payments

New post-Super Saturday updates:

  • Online enrollment verification to resolve deposit holds, identity verification, etc.
  • TDSP charges for priority move-ins will display on customer’s first bill, not during enrollment
  • Automated renewal reminder calls will be replaced by email and mail reminders

Upcoming Outages

Some of Stream’s systems will be unavailable as various changes are implemented. Kynect Central will also be impacted. Please be on the lookout for updates and share this news with your customers. Click the button below to see the full outage schedule.

Sunday, February 2 from 5 – 10 p.m. CT 

Enrollments in all markets will be unavailable during this time, including the Easy Enrollment feature in the My Stream Connect app.

Beginning Sunday, February 9 (timing and duration TBD)

As Stream updates their systems, Kynect Central will be unavailable. Stay tuned for more details around the timing and duration of this outage.
