Our Incentives Program Is Getting an Overhaul

We’re making big updates to the incentives program this year, and you’ll want to be all caught up to qualify for these rewards in 2021. Check out what’s changing, then keep reading for some insight into why these changes are important for everyone’s growth.

What’s New Overview

Rank Requirements

You can start earning incentives at the Senior Director level. This includes earning a spot on the Top Performers Trip!

Qualification Deadline

It’s still December 31 of the qualifying year, but now you must have earned and been paid the qualifying amounts (more on that below) by December 31.

One Trip Done Right

We’ll only take one incentive trip: the Top Performers Trip. There won’t be a Kynect Getaway in 2021 for newly-promoted Senior Directors. As an SD, the best thing for your continued growth is to pick up new leadership skills at the SD Power Trip!

300 Club

The 300 Club only includes the Car Program. You can still earn your Benz by getting 300 Annual Coded Customer Points and your rank’s required number of Personal Lifetime and Annual Personal Customer Points. All other incentives have a different set of qualification requirements.

Qualification Earning Requirements

Qualification for the MEI Bonus and Top Performers Trip is based on MEI and weekly bonuses. The Leadership Pool, for EDs and above, has a quarterly qualification requirement and is paid out the following quarter. It’s also based on MEI and paid weekly bonuses. Finally, Kynection perks are reserved for President’s Club members.


The intent behind these changes is simple: We want to align the incentives program with the right behaviors. Truthfully, the old structure didn’t always serve that purpose. The biggest clue of the right kind of hustle is MEI.

Why MEI Matters

In the past, qualifying for incentives meant you had a certain number of Customer Points by December 31. While it looked like someone was crushing it by bringing in tons of customers, that wasn’t always the case. Sometimes, those customers weren’t the highest quality.

MEI doesn’t lie. It’s the surest sign someone is active and engaged with their business. It shows they’re committed to bringing in good, long-term customers and teaching their teams to build. It’s the truest form of leading by example.

Associates who meet these metrics are clearly doing it right. That’s cause for celebration and big rewards!

If You’re Not There Yet…

That’s OK. It means there’s room to grow and learn, which is a great opportunity to set yourself up for even bigger success in the future. These are the things you should be doing to earn incentives (creating long-term MEI, building a strong team) and establish behaviors that will reward you over and over again.

We believe these changes make the path to earning incentives clearer than ever—and we’re going to put our money where our mouth is on that one by kicking 2020 off with an incredible promotion!
